Just curious who has the most miles on their Falcon shocks, and how do you feel they ride after said mileage. I’m coming up on 30k miles on mine with some decent trail usage. Starting to feel softer than they used to, but not to the point of replacing or rebuilding. I have never seen any information as to how long these shocks should last, that’s kind of what I’m looking for.

Rule of thumb (and there are a ton of variables) is a shock life is 50,000 miles.
Again your mileage may vary, but a good rule of thumb.

That’s good to know, thank you. Would you recommend replacing or rebuilding? 50k miles is barely 2 years of driving for me. I’d hate to spend a grand on shocks and 2 grand on tires every 2 years. At the same time I’d be helpless while sending my shocks out to be rebuilt and having to wait on them. I guess the ultimate solution would be to have a spare set of shocks that I could put on while the Falcons get rebuilt but that’s a hassle too.

In bold, you nailed it. Get some inexpensive white shocks for your height. I can't recall on the JL if you have to drill out the mounts for the Falcon's. (vague memory of this needing to be done for the JK platform, but the loop/loop on the JL may change it). This is the route I would go.

No drilling necessary. I have SP2.1 on my JTOD with 4.5” lift and SP2.1 on my 24 JLU Willys with 3.5” lift. I guess I could find something cheap that fits within both ranges and I’d have the best of both worlds in terms of downtime. I definitely wouldn’t be planning any wheeling trips with the cheap shocks, just enough to get me back and forth to work for a week or two.

Good to know on the no drill aspect!!
Thanks for that!
