Factory Center Speaker???

Browsing through a parts catalog, I came upon an instrument panel bezel that appears to be for the lower center area of the dashboard and includes a tweeter underneath it. I’m surprised as I’ve never heard of or seen anything like this on any Wrangler JL.

Does anyone have any idea what this is about? The site even claims it fits my 2021 JLUR.

I was also curious why it didn’t catch anyone’s attention but it happens haha

I was literally shocked to see it and I still don’t know where exactly it’s supposed to go in the lower center area of the dash, or what the purpose of it is, or if only one portion of the world gets these in their JLs because I haven’t yet seen anything like it, let alone from the factory.

Maybe a long shot, but my jeep has a M/T and right as I feel the need to downshift, I hear this audible ringing (like an old phone). Perhaps this is where it is coming from. I will have to look into this when I get done work.

Could it be an external speaker for a CB? Heck I have a my external speaker in that location, this could make it blend in more. Granted the CB is the closest thing I have to an antique on the Jeep.
