I was preparing to disconnect the negative terminal for the S/S battery and found that the thing is all one piece. F42 is pulled, but what is the trick to separating off the pony battery negative? The two bolts appear to be different sizes, so swapping the large cable into the existing combiner plate appears a non starter (excuse the pun).

The blue highlighted being the body ground, correct?

This is what my ESS battery isolation looks like. Yes, the retained, thicker Negative cable represents the primary ground connection for the vehicle. Note also the retention of the Intelligent Battery Sensor.

Apparently the body ground cable will successfully mount to the negative terminal from what I am seeing here. That is what was concerning me. Thanks to you all for the pictures and links.

I completed the disconnect this morning. I've yet to find a good place to tuck the SS battery negative cable, but it'll be ok until I return from my RV camping trip. Eventually, I may want to tow the Gladiator with me, but no time now. Thanks again for the pictures.

The yellow highlight in my picture is where I folded mine back. It's heavily taped and secure.

I see that now, didn't quite notice the terminal with the yellow over it. Thanks

There's little more to be done than just folding it back over itself and securing it in place with a zip tie. That's what I did (see pic in post #5), mimicking what I've seen in fellow owner photos.
