E+D FR Throttle Controller

Hey Guys!

We have talked about this throttle controller in our tuning thread before but wanted to start a thread for it specifically as we feel it is a fantastic mod for the money. I'll put the product description below and a link above so you guys can check it out.

We would love to field any questions about it here. I know a lot of people won't find this mod very desirable as they think it is "Nothing my foot can't do" lol, but we feel it is an extremely worthwhile mod for the price. I'm not sure how many of you really find the slight dead pedal feel annoying on the JL 2.0L Turbo. I know I do, so I thought I would share this info and product link here. It really helps tighten up the pedal feel. It is extremely easy to install and offers much adjustability. My favorite thing about it is the fact that you can just tuck it under your seat and never see it again once you find your sweet spot setting (for me that was City mode at max sensitivity).

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

"Fine-tune your pedal response at the touch of a button! EUROCOMPULSION presents the EURO+DRIVE FR (Fast Response), a module designed to increase pedal response and allow end-user adjustments on the fly.

APPLICATIONS:

  • JEEP WRANGLER JL 2.0L GME
EURO+DRIVE FR does not provide increases in power and torque, but modifies the responsiveness of the accelerator pedal, thus allowing the vehicle's response to be adapted to one’s driving style or preferences.

INSTALLATION:

FEATURES:

  • ALL-IN-ONE MODULE: Single, double, triple analog, Pwm, and Sent signals in a single unit.
  • PLUG & PLAY: Easy installation, no wiring.
  • 28 CUSTOMIZED SETTINGS: 4 drive modes to support your moods + 7 customizable settings to boost them up
  • SLEEK DESIGN: Ergonomic shape, backlit buttons, soft-touch surface, durable design.
Through four modes with seven configurations, it is possible to create your own sensitivity setting in real-time.

The ergonomic shape with backlit buttons and the wiring separated from the main unit make the EURO+DRIVE FR an extremely versatile product.

LIMIT mode includes ECO and VALET settings. LIMIT ECO (setting five-seven, not meant for WOT)makes the engine delivery smoother to offer more efficient driving both in terms of reducing fuel consumption and driving in adverse weather conditions. LIMIT VALET (setting four and below, won't allow WOT) reduces the functionality of the pedal in four steps, passing from the decrease in performance to the total cancellation of the pedal action.

With the CITY mode, it is possible to maintain the response of the vehicle during driving in traffic, offering greater responsiveness when more power is required. The modification of the pedal response occurs in fact only over a predetermined percentage, maintaining operation at partial loads unchanged.

With the SPORT mode, the accelerator response speed is enhanced along the entire pedal stroke, obtaining a more aggressive engine response for the same pressure. Ideal for vehicles that lack inspiration at low speeds or to increase driving pleasure.

With the RACE mode, the EURO+DRIVE FR module offers maximum responsiveness to the throttle controls. The delivery curve is anticipated in order to obtain an immediate response of the vehicle with a reduced pressure of the pedal."

I'm not loving the dead pedal either. I drove a 98 TJ for 22 yrs. (crazy to think) SO drive by wire has taken some getting use to. Question, city on high sensitivity... adjusting the threshold, attack, ratio kinda?
I have not driven a TJ before. I have driven many drive-by cable cars. Always liked the weighted feel. With this E+D FR in City, Sport, and Race. It really does add weight to the pedal. City mode being the sweet spot in my opinion.

Yes, in each setting you can control the PID controls for the pedal signal. Modes Allow broad attack adjustments, while the + and - allows fine-tuning of that signal.
