Hey there. I've been having trouble with throttle response every since I bought my jeep. There is noticeable delay when accerating from a stop. It's very annoying and dangerous sometimes. Does anyone know if service centers can fix this type of issue or will I just have to resort in buying a $300 Pedal Commander? Are there any cons to buying a Pedal Commander or other throttle modules other than the high price? Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I am not sure what kind of problems your having (No description) but if it's coming from the pedal then it's probably the TPMS sensor. If the throttle is working and it just seems like you need a little more punch, then a throttle controller will be the ticket. I use the I-drive in my 21 Rubicon 2.0 and I really like it. It is small, easy to use and really makes a difference on the vehicle throttle response.

Thanks for the info. Correct. It's basically delay in acceleration from a stop. I updated original post. :)

The reason that its delayed is because the when at stop, when you accelerate your turbo has to spool up before you get the boost. Often hear people talking about turbo lag in street applications. I got the MISHIMOTO CAI, a throttle controller would help for sure. I came from a turbo charge MINI, same situation there.

May be ESS as well… turn it off and see if it helps out.

I have the EVC iDrive throttle controller, which completely removed the delay between the pedal and throttle body. It also allows the adjustment of how sensitive the throttle reacts, by shortening the distance between idle and WOT.

Thanks for the info! Looking into getting this one. I was on the main website and they only had them for JKs but another website I found some for the JL. Kind of odd. Do you have a link where you bought yours?

Post time or a video? There shouldn't be any noticeable lag on a newish Jeep. My '18 developed lag on the highway but after cleaning the air filter (Mishimoto oiled CAI) and changing out the plugs at the service interval that went away. The acceleration from stop surprises other cars on the road and will easily chirp the ATs.

This device wouldn't fix a problem like that. The 2.0 has a noticible laggy throttle response. That's what this device deals with.

From dead stop their issue isn't normal so there is something underlying. The throttle controller is only masking the issue. As a passive-aggressive/aggressive-at-times driver, OP should be able to blast off a line. Not going to win any races of course. When I test drove my 2.0 the sales rep was a little nervous since I was pushing her pretty hard like my Porsche and was squirreling her a bit around corners off a dead stop.

I don't know man, my 2.0 definitely has a spot where it doesn't do anything on take off for at least a second. Granted, I'm not flooring it at every stop but it's specifically the reason I came and found this thread. On 10k kms on mine and it's been otherwise flawless. And it's been like this since I got it.
