The way you are representing our interactions here on the forum and what actually happened in reality are totally different. You're acting like you received no help. I spent weeks trying to diagnose your car, reviewing logs, making you tune revisions, etc. Not a single change to any tuning...
I understand. Unlike many larger companies, we don't have dedicated people who work solely in sales, media, or forum marketing. We're about 7 people total, and we do everything ourselves. I run the tuning arm of our operation while being responsible for about 95% of the tuning and file...
Wow, there's some massive assumptions in that post. You are not on point at all, not even close.
No, you're not paying us to develop, test, and craft the tunes for you so you can just tune it yourself? You might as well just go invest in a tuning tool, software, dyno and DIY.
Nothing we...
Sorry guys, I had no idea that any of this was transpiring in this thread. I'm not getting any email notifications when someone posts in here for some reason.
We are definitely still working on and supporting tuning customers (I've already tuned (3) Wrangler JLs just this week). Our heat...
Yes, we can change the fan thresholds in the tune. We also have a different cooling strategy related to the intercooler coolant, pump, and temperature objectives. This operates both in conjunction with the fan and independently depending on the situation. This is a standard change apart of the...
The additional heat exchanger and Phase 2 tune is definitely priority, that is something we are working on right now. I would suspect that is patched up in the next month. The downpipe and upgraded turbo, most likely looking at sometime in the beginning of Summer.
Yes, the direct tune or bench tune. That's one option (we still get info from the customer/car prior to the ECU being sent in).
The primary method is the TUNERlink (OBDII). Customer can do street or road pulls (or dyno if they choose) logging the car with our scan configuration already...
Yes, as JP29 mentioned, you can do a clone ECU. In order for us to maintain the more bespoke tuning it usually needs to be done directly from the file on your ECU. Even to do the clone we still need at least a copy of your original ECU in order to make the clone function properly.
FYI for...
Not necessarily. That's assuming they actually bothered to take the engine out and use an engine dyno. They most likely did not do that, and they even state at the bottom of their product listing that those #s are just estimated. I don't see an actual chart anywhere on their site.
Most European...
I can assure you that we are not just increasing boost :CWL:
Those of you with piggybacks (Racechip, JB4, etc), that's exactly what you're getting. Ramped up boost with no other changes. And the ECU doesn't even see an accurate signal from the MAP sensors, thus it doesn't know 100% what boost...
Not many people have reported their MPG back, so I don't have a large data sample. The few that have seem to be consistent with what I've seen on my own Wrangler (only one person reported seeing an increase in fuel economy. I imagine this is largely down to driving style).
2020 JL 2.0L...
Just a quick update, we are currently working on Phase 2 for our tuning system, which will also incorporate some bolt on additions that are currently in development. They will also elevate the performance ceiling for tuning.
One of those is a high flow catted downpipe.
The other is an...
Wow guys, really great response from the Black Friday sale! There's a lot of tunes out there in the wild now, and some great reviews are coming in our site for both the TUNERlink and the direct/clone ECU tuning.
Getting a lot of messages from guys that missed the sale, and wondering when the...
Yes, we need to get a 2024 in here on the dyno to get some runs and data from it asap. I've had a few 2024s come by the shop, but just for inspection and looking at the ECUs for tuning. Hopefully we can get one of those guys to come back and do some dyno runs. I toyed with the idea of trading my...
Exhaust and intakes are going to support the tune performance (with better air flow, less restrictions, etc). By themselves they will add a bit in performance, but they are mostly support pieces for the tune.
An intake will increase responsiveness, the exhaust will also, and add better sounds...
