eTorque is fantastic, shifts and launches are perfect. You should take a JL tub and stick it on a CJ.... I have enjoyed the hell out my JL80th
Agreed, I love my 3.6 eTorque in my JL80th. My only regret in my gladiator was that the eTorque was not an option.

(not trying to be mean but just giving another point of view on etorque) As a 15 year Jeep tech I literally ordered a 2024 3.6 because they do NOT have Etorque. I have no want to spend $2000+ when the e torque battery starts leaking coolant or as a internal temp sensor issue. Nor do I want to deal with having not one not two but THREE different cooling systems on my jeep. Two of which has electric coolant pumps that are not that fun too replace. Yes at this time all Etorque parts are covered under warranty but once some of these JL's start falling out of warranty I can see Etorque repairs getting very costly for owners. The Etorque motor/generator unit and associated belts and belt tensioners are a massive pain to work around.
Sorry for the rant and I can see how Etorque has been trouble free for most but you aren't the ones doing warranty work on the vehicles. I would much rather replace 100 ESS AUX batteries vs. having Etorque on my personal vehicle.

no worries, in 8 years swap to v8 or swap in a alternator if the v6 even works at that point.

Everything on the ESS 3.6 version is identical to the eTorque 3.6 version. So what I think that I will do when my warranty on the eTorque expires is to totally delete everything on it.
What about the software?

Just reach under the Jeep and start cutting wires. Pretty sure that will take the etorque out of the system
