Hey guys - I have the smallest Uconnect system, the 5 incher (hate these things, but still has the basic stuff I want), but it's had an annoying issue from the very beginning.
When the screen first turns on whether through remote start, opening the door, starting the jeep, whatever, it comes up with an error screen saying "Update Failed, Error Code:12, Insert USB."
Ok, so I take it to the dealer a couple weeks ago, they take it in, do an update, say it's fine, and I go on my way. Don't notice it when I start it up at the dealer. I forget if the jeep was just left running and I just hopped in or whatever, but I didn't notice it that one time. But since then, it's back to the way it was before.
Everything works, though. All I have to do to get the error screen to go away is just pull up any other screen: the compass, usb media, settings, etc., and then the screen gets rid of the error message and is fine for the rest of the trip. Even when the error message is up SIRIUS plays, bluetooth can take calls, etc. In short, whatever this error is doesn't seem to be affecting any functionality of the system other than an annoying pop-up message at the start of each trip.
Just annoying, you know? Anybody else experience this? Any ideas? Thanks.
