I bought a used 2022 Jeep Wrangler JL Willys with 130 miles on it 1&1/2 weeks ago. (A 62 year old guy bought it and drove it for 2 days and hated the standard shift) On day 3 the engine started missing so bad I couldn't maintain speed so I had to get off the road. I revved the engine about 15 times and it performed normal. I assumed I might have gotten some bad gas so I ran the gasoline down to 18 miles in reserve and filled up with Supreme. Today is day 10 and it did the same exact thing. (I almost got hit by cross traffic trying to enter a major road!) Is there a chance all the water didn't get run out the first time or does it sound like a fuel system issue? Thanks for any advice and Jeep On!

It could be a number of things. The running issues you describe are quite similar to what I experienced with a then-new VW Golf, some years back. The dealer diagnosed a faulty ignition coil, which was replaced under warranty. Proper running was instantly restored. I don't think that is your issue, though, since you mention a seven day gap (where the engine ran properly for at least a portion of that time between Day 3 and Day 10?)

Try a couple cans of Dry Gas, cheap fix maybe? Similar symptoms for me once, older Jeep however 30 miles or so all fixed?

Go Jeep!!!

If you don't want to go with the dealers, is the CEL flashing? If so, should be a code to look at.

Please don't add anything to your fuel, this could be a simple loose connection, bad ground, Seat Those Fuses issue. A Code Reader will tell you
