2-Door JL Rubicon ordered 10/28/18, built 12/19/18, delivered 1/14/19
3.6L Automatic transmission 2 door Rubicon with around 1,100 miles.

This weekend, I was pulling off a road into a parking lot. As I pull into the parking lot, something feels "weird". I look down and the dashboard LCD screen says "Put drive into P to start engine" (or something similar). The engine had just died. I put it in park, click the ignition button and it fires up without issue. No problems since. No check engine light, no warnings. It's almost as if I intentionally turned the engine off while driving. I'm assuming it's just a one-off hiccup but sending this out to see if others have experienced similar? Searched around and hadn't heard anything similar.

Only mods: Warn Zeon 10s (hooked up to the disconnect solenoid which is always off), Magnaflow Rock Crawler Exahust, dash cam. Car has only ever been fed 92 octane (I know, I know - not necessary).

Figure I'll ignore it - but if it happens again, take it more seriously.

Same thing happened to me last week while driving. Made a right turn into a city street, noticed the “Shift to P” on the EVIC, looked down at my shift lever and saw “D” was flashing. Immediately pulled along a curb and shifted to Park. Engine immediately shut off as soon as I shifted to Park. I then started the vehicle and proceeded as normal. It should be noted, my seatbelt was on and the driver door was closed, so it was not a result of the Auto Park safety feature. Hasn’t happened since, and was curious myself as I searched the forums and couldn’t find anything similar. Seems to have been a hiccup of some sort, have yet to experience it again. Interested to see if any others have experienced the same.

Thanks! From here on out, it's Sunoco 104 octane! Good for the King, great for our Saharacon! :)

Just curious if this ever happened again? I have an 18 JLU and experienced the same issue.
