The only reason Jeep left it out was to save a couple dollars.
That would make sense if they nuked it on all engines (2.0, 3.0, and 392). They continued to include it on those.

I believe they were discontinued in 2022. To me the cover is a waste. Traps heat and adds unnecessary weight (not much granted).
ok I just posted on the Gladiator, "You got an engine cover!?".
Must have stopped putting them on the 22 Gladiators as well.
It's for the best anyway.

Ford stoped the cover on the Ranger in 2020.They are just saving money.Most guys at first felt cheated.Now no body cares much.
It's just weird that they only did it on one engine. You'd think that if it provided no benefits and was merely a money sink then they would have also nuked it on the 2.0, 3.0, and 392.

I've wondered about that, myself.

Possibly Stellantis used a separate supplier for the now-NLA V6 engine cover. Or, perhaps the use of one on the 2.0T, for example, is genuinely necessary. I know the cover on my engine is heavily insulated under the robust polymer cover. Likely the heat from the adjacent turbo is relevant here.
