I disconnected these “two” O2 Sensor plugs for my lift kit. Attempted to reconnect and I tried different procedures and cannot do it. You cannot simply just slide them in and they will self lock. What is the simple procedure to reattach them. Thank you for your help.

Why are you disconnecting O2 sensors on a lift kit install?

Looks like a normal connector. Was the red tab pulled out enough?

Teraflex “”long arm””2 door lift kit the drivers side “cat” and snake pipe sector comes out to install the new Long arm driver side brackets. Also Per their instructions. To remove the cat from the exhaust Mount you have to remove the (2) O2 sensors…….. I do have the red tabs pulled out “””””what seems like as far enough as they will go””” but maybe I could push down part of the tab to see if I could pull out the whole tab with a little screwdriver? As in the picture I posted you can see the tab is pulled out.

Pictures of why you have to remove the drivers side pipe / Catalytic converter per instructions.

Ahh. Ok. That makes sense. Lol. I was thinking like a 2" normal lift.

Nothing shown says there should be an issue reconnecting that. So odd.

Per instructions and you really do have to remove it which is really really simple except for reinstalling the clip.

Also…. Lol….. The connectors are not 180° off. I’m having the same issue with both sensors. If I try to pull the red tab even more out I might break it. Did that with the green tab above The fuel tank. I pulled it out too far and broke it and I posted it on here and somebody had a great idea to help me fix it.

Have you checked the pins in the other (male) end to make sure they aren't bent?

No I have not…..One of them is right next to the exhaust manifold in a blind spot where I guess I can use a mirror and the other one is behind the engine against the firewall where you absolutely cannot see the pins. Going to rain all day today but tomorrow Tuesday I’m going to remove the O2 sensor again that way I could play with it in my hands rather than standing on a ladder leaning over the engine compartment with my head in there with very limited access to both. This Shit is hard to do when you don’t know what your doing…..lol.

Update…. So MF Embarrassed. Remember both connectors are in blind spots. I’m only posting this to update the people that were trying to help me. Yes I was installing them 180° backwards, upside down, whatever you wanna call it. I fu*ked up……lol. But thank you to everyone that was helping me.

Good outcome, and free dollars. Sounds like it worked out fine to me.

Hah! That's great man. We've all been there. Glad you got it sorted out. I wasn't really understanding how it was an issue.
