End Cap Missing from Behind Rock Rail? JLUR

Hey all, hope you're having a great weekend and Sunday!

Quick question I was hoping you could help with?

What is missing here? Seems like an end cap Or something, I have this thick filler material (like a hardened caulk/foam) there in my JLUR.

This is on the passenger side just behind the rock rail, in front of the rear right tire.

I just don't want to allow water or anything else up insider there that should not be, any ideas or thoughts about what I should do (if anything) would be appreciated!

Ah yeah, the other side is open on the back too and seems to have that hardened foam stuff further back, BUT it's not 'oozing out' like the passenger side.

Was just hoping somebody'd be familiar with this, or see if their JLR/JLUR is the same too, or not.

Just filler foam from the factory. My jk had it too

Thanks, just wanted to make sure nothing popped up one or both sides.

First Jeep, came from an Audi Q5 (nice but boring), learning more about 'it's a jeep thing' every day and i friggin love it! LOL
