How many of you are old enough to remember this?
I ask because when trying to find the source of wetness in the front passenger's floor someone suggested, "just pull the drain plug." Leaks, like "ship," happens on JLs.
.....which is a great idea if the road beneath us didn't also collect puddles that could splash in from the road below
....unless I took some of that plastic vapor wrap I have lying around, and put it between the front passenger's floor carpeting and the bear metal front passenger's tub.
This could allow me to remove drain plugs and prevent splashes from entering the JL without allowing rain leaks to pool there---such water finding its way under the plastic and out the open drain plug.
Sure, this won't address drips from above that well, but the kind that sneak in from the door or near the fire wall ......?
Thoughts?
TIA
