2019 Jeep JLU Rubicon 2.0 etorque.


Any assistance with the etorque motor. It has 62 DTC codes currently registered. No Aux battery on board. Replaced 12volt batter, generator, and 48v battery. Every light comes on ESC Sway bar disconnect auto start etc. If there’s a spot on the dash for a warning light it lights up and systems begin to “shut down. Vehicle will not come out of park and go in gear. Turn it off back on it goes in gear. Drive for a few miles and lights go off. Very sporadic. Been in and out of shop four times since July.

Sounds like the common CANbus connector block behind the glove box? Anyone check that yet?

Are there a bunch of low voltage DTCs (as in voltage too low)?

No low voltage but that’s what caused the suggestion of replacing the batteries and generator. 5,000$ later. Still nothing fixed

They mentioned that but they said they feel the ABS module is bad and want to replace it.

That's another common indicator with the connector block might be bad. It's a $10 part (probably an $80 part at the dealer). It can be replaced in about 5 minutes. It's possible it's not the problem but much cheaper and faster than the ABS to check.

Is there an easy way to look at it without using a voltage meter to see if it’s bad? I’ve got a white and a green connector I’m just going to order both and replace them. The circuits on the back look good (says the I’m no electrician man)!!!

Sometimes it's as easy as just pushing the connectors in fully. Sometimes the block might require replacing (voltmeter won't help here). Other time the problem is elsewhere. These used to be a dime a dozen on eBay but they are nowhere to be found today (except the dealer). I wonder if Stellantis bought all the available stock for replacements?

That wouldn’t surprise me!!! Honestly, over this engine Jeep lost a lifelong customer unfortunately. I could work on the 3.6 (same year model). I got this one to replace the other and from day one it has been a disaster. Jeeps are suppose to be expensive but this one is beyond ridiculous.
