What repair methods have you guys seen for egg-shaped holes? I'm talking about where the front track bar connects at the axle.

I've heard of people welding washers over the hole. Staring at the parts I have (Rock Krawler track bar with big Heim joint at the axle end) I was thinking a person could bore out the hole in the bushings, bore out the holes in the frame and use a larger bolt. I could measure the holes I have, I was thinking that 11/16" bolts might work.

The easiest thing to do is relocate the steering stabilizer using a Clayton or steersmen’s axle side bracket, etc….most of them use a secondary bolt that helps hold it in place….

If the metal egged out i would reinforce it.
Last jeep I welded a thick washers over and it was the end of that. I also used a brace at the other end with a JKS track bar and the thing was a monster onwards. Currently aligning my self for the same.

I finished the trackbar installation today. I upgraded to 9/16" bolts, the holes at the axle measured between 19/32" and 5/8". With the bolt fully torqued the bushing shouldn't be able to slide around in there anyway no matter what the hole size is so we'll see hot it goes.
