Jeep, I ordered an ECU to tune out MDS. But the NoLimitz JL was announced after it was shipped. I had Jeep install it anyway to have the original one available for unlock and performance tune after the warranty. Since the NoLimitz showed up just before the appointment I took it too. They installed both at NC , bill marked “internal”.

Any dealership can clone your PCM/ECU. You might want to call ahead though, The McKinney Jeep dealership wanted to charge me like $600 and straight up told me not only had they never done one before, but they would have to yank out the fuse box to do it. Which I wasn't going to be the one to explain to them that they didn't even have to remove the PCM to clone it.

Not sure where you're at in DFW, but the only Jeep dealership I trust in the area is Huffines. I don't know what they charge you, but realistically it should be around $140 to maybe $280 max!! Any more than that and they either don't know what they're doing, or they're just scamming you! Depending on how long their lines are, it's less than an hour worth of work, you should be out in less than half of the day. If they want to keep your Jeep there all day, it's probably because they don't know what they're doing. That's what McKinney Jeep told me, they told me it was going to take them 8 hours to clone my PCM/ECU and all they had to do in reality was plug in a couple wires to computer and run some software and it's done in less than 30 minutes. :asshat:

If I haven't made it clear, STAY AWAY FROM MCKINNEY JEEP, bunch of morons over there!!!

Not going to volunteer anybody, but @Tread4Lo might want to weigh in on this. 🤷‍♂️

@Tredsdert Thanks for putting my name in. I cloned mine about a year ago. I bought all the cables and loaded all the no-name software on my computer. You could probably clone without removing the stock ECU. The big connectors for the diesel Jeeps sit on top.

Either way, I could help. Just have to make a trip to Sulphur Springs (1.5h east of Dallas on I-30).

Before I sent it off, I ran the clone for a couple weeks. Make sure all systems worked AND I didn't have the red security light. Which I would highly recommend do this step.
