There is no way I'd let any fluids in my car go 100,000 miles or more without being replaced...I don't care what the manual states. They only need it to last as long as the warranty anyway.
Agreed. There is no such thing as sealed for life.

Had a 99 Ram 2500 5.9L Cummins that I sold it at 350k miles. Never changed the transfer case fluid and I use 4wd at least once a month on the farm. More often during the rain season. Current Ram 2500 6.7L Cummins has over 130k and admittedly I have never changed the transfer case fluid. Father has a 2002 F250 7.3L diesel with around 400k. Never changed transfer case fluid and it worked great the other day getting out of the sand while cutting trees. Same for my father-in-law's 2003 F350 6.0L diesel that he sold at around 375k and the 4wd worked great (besides the hubs that had to be replaced regularly) on the farm up until he sold it for a new 2019.

Not saying don't change your transfer case fluid, but I think you may be safe at 100k intervals.
