I have been planning my Easter Jeep Safari trip for over a year. Today the trails open up. I was very disappointed to see most of the time slots have been filled by people who were able to early register. Will I still be able to ride trails if I’m not able to register for the guided trail rides?

I’m of no actual help in answering the question but I’d like to hear the answers from others more knowledgeable in this.

Yes you can still do the trails. They can not keep you off of them. Go early before they start or wait until they have left.

Same boat. I just cancelled my PTO for that week and refunded my camp site. I'm scheduling a family trip at the end of May so that will just have to be my first time. I was really looking forward to this too. Oh well.

Yes, you can still run trails. Some trails are closed on some days while being used by rr4w.

I’m in a similar situation. I registered early and got some I wanted at the end of the week, but nothing at the beginning — I really want to run golden spike and/or top of the world again. I’ve done them before, but been a few years. In another thread on here yesterday I posted up the thought of doing a forum run with a few people/whoever is interested and running golden spike on Sunday 4/10 and top of the world on mon 4/11. Those days don’t interfere with scheduled runs.

if anyone is interested in running with a Carolina guy and a friend or two, let me know. I’m considering just running them solo, but I figure there’s got to be at least a handful of people in the same boat. For me, NC is too far to trailer a rig and not run what one wants. ?

Some trails are exclusive use for EJS on the days they are running those trails.

Many are not exclusive use.

Best bet to be able to register for trails earlier is to be a paid member ahead of registration. I renew my associate membership every fall.

Members get access to earlier registration than non members.

Of course, people who volunteer to help out get earliest registration access. You have to be a member to be a volunteer.

We had the same issue.
We’ve registered for Fins and Things for big Saturday but will look to run Top of the World on Friday, alone if we have to. We also plan to run Chicken Corners on Thursday and squeeze in Shafer Trail somewhere.
