I decided to try a tank of E85 in my 2022 JL HA yesterday and discovered immediate results. Within 5 miles discovered the power loss, shifting issues, and now the CEL is on and start/stop is unavailable. My shift points are all over the place, and it doesn't want to shift out of 6th gear at highway speeds. Fuel economy is down almost 25%. Has anyone had these issues before and if so what's the correction method? Dealer said they'll run codes but are a month away from service appointments. Will this correct itself after using the fuel and running back on 87 or 89? TIA

Honestly, I'd stop driving and pump out the tank and fill with gas. It's not a flex-fuel vehicle - who knows what you'll mess up by leaving it in there. At the very least it will be running incredibly lean since you need to remap fuel curves to pump a whole lot more E85 than gas out of your injectors.

Well given the consumption rate it should be run out in a couple days. I've been actively researching and it's saying it shouldn't hurt one time, but repeatedly it will cause damage to everything from the neck to the exhaust.

Your Jeep, your call. Personally, a hand pump and a gas can or two are really cheap compared to potential issues you'll encounter by running the rest of the tank out.

I think you're right here in that one tank isn't going to be catastrophic however refilling now would likely be better than continuing on just the E85.

I'm gonna start the dilution process tomorrow. That same fuel station has e-free gas. So I guess it'll be about the same.

Try denatured alcohol and 2 gallons of Sunoco 151 next time.

I'd be very careful about taking it to the dealer for that. It states very plainly in the owner's manual that any issues caused by running E85 are not covered by the manufacturer (probably incl. diagnostics) and that it may void your warranty. As @GMONEY said, keep diluting it down with premium (or pump it out) and hopefully the lean/limp mode codes should clear themselves. Drive like a grandma in the meantime.
