New '21 Sahara Unlimited with 3.6L E-Torque and auto transmission, I'm at 2100 miles and reading the owner's manual. In the Fluid Capacities section it lists the "3.6L Motor Generator Unit" as having a 1.9 quart capacity. There is no listed oil change interval or oil specification for it. Is it a sealed unit, just run to failure and hope it dies within warranty?

Is that coolant not oil? It is liquid cooled.

This is correct. It is on page 510 of the owners manual.

3.6L Motor Generator Unit (MGU) (Mopar Antifreeze/Engine Coolant 10 Year/150,000 Mile Formula or equivalent) : 1.9 Quarts

Thanks, that makes sense. Really enjoying the Jeep thus far, after selling my '80 CJ5 back in 1990.

the question is which fluid I will need to use , for number 9 and 5 we know its antifreeze coolant but number 7 (poer pack unit ) which liquid ???
I'm assuming the same OAT MS.90032 but really not 100% sure.

However, I just noticed my '23 manual states 2.2 quart capacity for the MGU (instead of 1.9) and 3.3 quarts for the PPU (instead of the prior 2.5 spec).

I'm almost certain that both the MGU and PPU use the exact same Mopar OAT MS.90032 antifreeze coolant. On page #493 and 494 of the 2018 Wrangler owner's manual (with both 2.0T eTorque and 3.6L eTorque specs) it distinctly lists "battery coolant" separately from the MGU coolant. Since the generator/MGU is listed and no other batteries on the vehicle are liquid-cooled, the power pack unit (PPU) should be the battery mentioned here.

The OEM part number for the coolant should be 68163849AB for 10-year 50/50 premixed.

Has anyone had trouble getting the caps off #7 and #9 (see pic) to add more fluid? Ive tried pushing and turning and all it does is click.

There is a small slot on each black caps. Align the slot to another slot underneath. Then put a flat head screw driver into slot, turn the cap

I wonder how many owners (and service persons) put washer fluid in those coolant reservoirs before they changed those cap designs. 🤣🤣
