I'm thinking of doing the full length of Dusy-Ershim, south to north. Just wondering for those of you who have done it in a JL with a 3.6L, does it require carrying extra fuel?

I ran Rubicon a few weeks ago and while it's only about 25 miles end to end, I burned about 2/3rds tank over the two days. Dusy will likely be about 3 to 4 days total and about 33 miles.

From what I have read and seen in videos, Dusy looks to be a longer Rubicon. Were it me, I’d definitely bring extra fuel. Better to have and not need…

I’m jealous.

Get well Chuck. We'll run something together.

Yes, take extra fuel. I fueled at Shaver Lake and did make it back to Shaver on one tank but it was scary close. Was running it alone.

Thanks for that. I'll heed that recommendation.

Several decades ago, my brother and a friend were running Dusy solo in a CJ and broke an axle. They had to hike out 10 miles and find an axle, then hike back in and replace it on the trail. None of us would want to do that at our age now.
