Dual Top

I currently have a hard top with my wrangler, but I’ve been looking to get a soft top so I can use that in warmer weather. Since it’s a struggle for me to take the hard top off by myself.

Is it worth flipping tops (soft for warmer weather and hard top for winter)?

any suggestions for maybe taking the hard top off by myself?

I just put this setup up in my garage. Panofish » Garage Trailer Lift . Used a manual crank I grabbed at HF for $35.

Made a base to set the soft top on in the winter and the freedom panels on in the summer while the rest of the hard top hangs from the bottom. I also grabbed the Topsy hooks for easier lifting.

I just installed a simple hard top hoist system this past weekend, actually. Used the “way.a.life” video on u-tube for it. Simple, easy, and cost effective.

Only took about an hour, and now adding/removing hard top is a piece of cake.

Totally worth it. I live in Nebraska. I'll be putting my soft top on this weekend. I have a Bestop Trektop Ultra Slantback in Black Twill. Hasn't leaked yet and even goes through the car wash. Have a simple hoist / lift system in the garage that I've used for almost 10 years with my Jeep Hardtops and it makes things very easy and a one person operation.

I just have to remember that the Bestop is spring loaded...
