Driving with rear hatch open

Is it OK to drive with the rear glass flipped open at highway speed for a few hundred miles? I have something to carry tomorrow that will require this.

Should be ok with side window roll down a little bit.

In California where you reside it may make you sleep (not) but in all other States and everywhere else in the World it makes you dead.
