Has anyone else experienced this?

If so, is there a fix for it?

1. Check the bolt on the limiting arm. On both of my JLUs they worked themselves loose over time. This tends to be more of a popping noise than a creaking though.

2. Check the bolts underneath the hinges. Maybe they are overtightened.

3. If you've had your doors off, it's possible you could've picked up some debris. It might also be a good idea to check your hinge bushing and maybe hit it with some compressed air or a pipe cleaner.

4. If all else fails, you could try to put a little bit of lithium grease on the hinge pin.

Can you at least determine if it is coming from the hinges or the door check? For either one I would try some graphite power for lubrication. If it is the door check and lubrication doesn't work, you can get a new one for under $20 if it bothers you too much.

My '24 Sahara started doing exactly that a month ago. I spoke to a body shop guy, he said the door check has to be replaced. I've emailed the dealer to see if they have them in stock. Passenger door is just starting to make the same noise.
