I noticed this weekend that my driver door Lock/unlock buttons were not working anymore !
I did not have any bent pins at the connector… I took my ohm’s meter out and started the troubleshooting this afternoon… It turned out that I had 2 broken wires and 3 that were almost broken within the black insulation part between the door and the footwell …. I took my welder out and fixed all 5 wires…. Here’s a few pictures.
The way that I found out the problem was by doing continuity tests between the connector within the door (behind the door panel) and the one that connects at the footwell.
I used 18 AWG wire, although it looks like the harness wires are 20AWG (2018 Rubicon)… I only had 18 & 22 AWG !
