  1. Making your own LED headlight heating element, requesting help

Did you ever find any information on this? I wish someone would come out with a clear adhesive strip with integrated wire to DIY this in an easy, safe manner.
  2. A cool find

I had one in yellow about 30 years ago, wish I'd kept it.
  3. Seriously Jeep?!?

I saw an old school Wagoneer that mint outside my work the other day, could hardly believe my eyes. Looked like it just rolled off the factory floor...a thing of beauty. But yet, that photo...lolol. 🤦‍♂️
  4. New update for 8.4 Uconnect radio

I have a '21 Rubicon as well, uConnect kept telling me there were no updates for me when everyone else was getting OTA updates left and right. This went on for 9 or 10 months. I just let it go. Finally I reached out to @JeepCares here via PM and they got me the proper TSB info to present to...
  5. Winter Driving 4xe in Frigid Cold & Snowy Alaska - My Experience

Seems we have a few things in common...I turned 13 in Oct. of '89. 🍻 Grew up on a ranch, so the hands made sure I could drive the ol' stick flatbed for dumping hay to cows during winter by about the 3rd grade. Don't get me started on kids growing up staring at iPad screens these days...😂😂...
  6. Winter Driving 4xe in Frigid Cold & Snowy Alaska - My Experience

Good grief, respect for those miles. My daily round trip is about 65, so with road trips and weekend wheeling I did 24,000 my first year...thought I was doin' good! 😂 Rubi has been great though...some don't like to daily a Jeep, I love it. A few weeks ago there was semi wrecked in the snow...
  7. Winter Driving 4xe in Frigid Cold & Snowy Alaska - My Experience

Good insight on your experience. Do you commute daily? Beautiful drive, spent a month on the peninsula a few decades ago, have been trying to get back ever since. I've enjoyed my KO2's immensely, but change them out now at first snow without question. Good traction in fresh and packed snow...
  8. And you thought your setup was aggressive....

Just back from Iceland as well, was really impressed by their off road rigs. Quite a few innovations not seen much here in the States.
  9. IFS wrangler conversion

Fluff: For me, the 7-slot delete and angry eyes in every photo says it all.
  10. 2.0T P253F Oil degradation/Extreme Spark Knock

I might be 'dealer shopping' this coming week to see what kind of responses I get. Very helpful information, my thanks to you.
  11. 2.0T P253F Oil degradation/Extreme Spark Knock

With throttle, the volume actually decreases but the pitch and rhythm of the pattern increase to match RPM. At a certain point (still fairly low throttle) it disappears as general engine noise increases. It comes and goes, that's the strange part to me. Was your dealer good to work with? Nice...
  12. 2.0T P253F Oil degradation/Extreme Spark Knock

Was the intermittent sound anything like the video I posted above?
  13. 2.0T P253F Oil degradation/Extreme Spark Knock

@lalalofsky Was the sound you experienced anything like this? Am curious what the outcome was of your taking it to the dealer.
  14. 2.0 4cy IL Turbo The good, bad and ugly

Love my '21 2.0T JLUR. Power and acceleration are great, gas mileage is great, low-end torque is great. Daily commute is 30 miles each direction over a mountain pass, average 19-21MPG. Just got back from a 2,800-mile trip to SE Oregon/N Nevada from MT with probably 700-800 miles of gravel roads...
  15. 2.0L 4cyl engine reliability issues?

Purchased a 2.0L JLUR a year ago. 24,000 miles, zero issues. Crawls fantastic, acceleration is fantastic on the interstate when I need it. There are lots of haters, but I'm still waiting for a reason to dislike it even a little.
  16. Quadratec Customer Service Nightmare

Interesting discovery today - Quadratec uses different inventory statuses for different account conditions - see attachment. This isn't really uncommon, but typically it's used ethically. In Quadratec's case, one status for the unsuspecting/uninformed, hoping 3-4 weeks is ok, gets more orders...
  17. Quadratec Customer Service Nightmare

While I'm one of the people in this thread that is waiting for them to refund money (in my case they told me they never charged me, my bank account says otherwise), it seems the consensus of feedback is that what Quadratec does well, they do well...but that factor is plummeting. What they do...
  18. Quadratec Customer Service Nightmare

Ordered 3 items a month ago. Two shipped immediately. Charged for the third item, but it never shipped. Spent 45 minutes on hold, guy lied to me saying I wasn't charged - DUDE, I have the transaction ID in my bank account. 🤦‍♂️ Still waiting for a refund. Never, ever again. They've let...
  19. How can I disable "Low Fuel" shutoff for auto-start (cold weather group)

Now that you say it, I think it's a 1/4 tank for the Jeep JL also. There is zero risk of me running out of gas idling for a few minutes, so the cutoff is just an inconvenience...I brush the snow off, fire it up, then head back in to finish my coffee. ☕😂👍
  20. How can I disable "Low Fuel" shutoff for auto-start (cold weather group)
