Curious to what others think about drivability in OR+. When i'm in OR+ driving at slow speeds or in traffic the Jeep is extremely jerky. I can only use it when driving aggressively or using manual shift. If I give It a little throttle in 1st and let off the Jeep lurches to a crawl. I have an XR so get that part of that is the gearing but would like to hear if others have the same experience.

I do not experience your issues. Just increased shift points and throttle response. I do press and hold the traction control button for 5 sec to disable the nannies after OR+, try it if you don’t. Good luck.

Yeah its a little jerky for town use... 3.73s here. Also mine jumps into 4cyl mode quicker in OR+, annoying. I leave it off unless I'm playing around here.

You just confirmed my suspicions that it jumps into 4cyl quicker. The opposite of what I hoped, my GCSRT disables it in Sport and Track mode ?. I tap it into manual shift after reaching cruising speed to minimize.

Yep - waiting another year or so and then I'll flash or maybe do a cam to get rid of the MDS crap. I could use sport mode on my Trailhawk to keep it from coming on but haven't found a button/setting combo to keep it off on the 392.

Interesting, mine will not go into 4cyl in OR+ no matter what I do. It’s a 2022, which I’ve heard other 22s do not into 4 in OR+. In normal mode it goes into 4cyl all the time.

I have tried everything I could think of. Especially aggravating knowing Range Technology makes a PNP disabler for GM. When I expressed my disappointment at no GC like disable the sales mgr said it’s because they take an EPA Mpg hit if we have the choice to turn it off. ? non collapsing lifters at warranty expiration if no similar electronic disable by then.

Interesting- having heard that from some, after 4.56, 35’s , “XR pkg recal” on my pre XR it was immediately tried— NOPE ! Other 22’s (only?) may explain the reported inconsistency , you got lucky !

It appears that the 22 non CARB state without the “Additional California Emissions Equipment” is optimal. As a Ca resident it would be a tough choice if I had it, no MDS or more Smog crap. One can’t be legally eliminated, the other can- at high expense and voiding the warranty.

My 2022 is California emissions and still doesn’t go into 4cyl on OR+

That’s what I meant to say. The extra emissions 22 with MDS disable vs my no extra emissions 21 without MDS disable. I would give myself a lot of headaches trying to choose that one were it an option.

I have a 22 delivered to a dealer in VA and it never goes into 4-cyl mode with OR+ enabled (goes into it pretty often when OR+ is not enabled).

You , are indeed lucky unless you have a very late 22 you got the 21 emissions and MDS disable. Someone once posted when in 22 the non CARB equipment had all been used and they all went 50 state, I don’t recall, but it was late 22. He also said our 21 and non CARB 22’s cat is now “Obsolete” and must be replaced with the expensive CARB one— guard yours well a CARB one is over $3K as I recall.

Apologies, I didn't have coffee yet when I posted earlier. I have a '23. Everything else is still correct.
