Been there myself. The replacement bushings are cheap and come with the tool so I suppose if its even slightly questionable I should change which I'd only done once on a JK.
Once they are off I grease the hole up all gooey but changing those out every couple years would certainly be a plus
Gotta spray your friends door and lift at different open positions. I used my floor jack and a 4x4 chunk for that on a rear door - if still no-go I suppose pulling the hinges is an option (seems I did that once too - lol)
Thanks for the reminder though, next year I'll just rebush in the spring reqardless of ow they look that day ?
We have a very good forum here
Lol, he has literally tired everything. Now he just removes the hinges when he wants to go doorless. Lol.
Ya, I use anti seize on mine as well.

The only reason those nuts are there is to prevent theft. Back in the days of the CJs through the Tjs, full doors would get stolen often as they were an expensive option.

The only doors I would be concerned about getting stolen these days are factory half doors. Which is funny, because with Yjs and Tjs, you couldn't hardly give them away.
Yea it was real fun in high school coming out to find my doors missing.

Every week.

Crazy, and I thought I had the worst door ever back then
Anti seize is def better than grease but somehow I seem to get anti seize everywhere suddenly and then that seems to get everywhere else
Some of us shade tree mechanics are better off with grease I suppose ?

Yes, you can. I've never run the bolts since the first time the doors came off. I also have the kit you linked to. It's great for lining up holes when putting doors back on.
Same here
