Yes I did own a TJ with the painted bolts that would instantly chip off off as soon as you put a wrench to the. It's like they didn't want you taking the doors off on a TJ. The reason I ask is because sooner or later you are going to scratch your door(s) in the the process of loosening/tightening. Are there no issue with the door accidentally popping off if you leave the bolts out.
Always hated the first time literally shedding the paint off the bolts on the TJ tried every trick back then nothing worked lol

One of the very first things I did with both of my JLs was remove the bolts from the doors and stash them in the rear cargo area. I will probably do the same with the two bolts on the roll bar for the hard top, since I have the Rockworx thumb screws for the cargo area and the bolts up top slow down the process. If it's nice enough to run without freedom panels, it's nice enough to run without a top. I've seen the door bracket disconnects. I believe you can find disconnect pins for cheaper at a hardware store. Honestly, the slowest and most difficult part of the whole process is the door harness connectors for the front. The white locking tab is a pain and I'm pretty sure I'm going to break it at some point. The harness connector for the hard top too.

I have no idea what you all mean about TJ doors being hard to take off… I and remove or put mine on in seconds.

To the main subject, to speed things up, leave the door hinge bolts out and get the quick pull pins like above. The door bolts really don’t help anything if hardtop. If in a bad area with a soft top MAYBE, but I have never heard of someones doors being stolen around here.
