So i called and i am 1 month out of the corrosion warranty - they told me no. so I am seeing about taking to someone higher up. Its a shame they wont help someone a month out of that time frame. @JeepCares - We will really see if Jeep Cares.
People have been getting good will repairs out of warranty so I wouldn't close that door. You may be asked to pay a portion of it tho. Good luck!

It's nice that you guys have @JeepCares in the USA. just a little north in Canada.. well nothing for us... Paint on my hinges was something I noticed a long time ago.. dealer past it off as "not an issue" Now its come back to be full on bubbling and im out of the warranty period.... To add insult to injury that dealer is now out of business (sold to another owner) So no record of my initial complaint about the door hinge paint 3+ years ago...

Are there any known shops that have good result/process to prevent this from coming back? 5y jeep that has been garage kept with less then 50k km on the clock...

I've now had the hood, the 4 doors and the windshield frame repainted due to rust. It's my 6th Jeep, and this is the first time I've ever had to deal with this issue, except for the hinges, of course. But my biggest issue is that they can't match the color properly. So now, my doors are a different shade of "bikini" than the rest of the truck.
The darker shade at the bottom of the doors isn't because of the lighting. It's actually darker. The dealership says they can't do better.

I am so disappointed.

This is discouraging to read that dealership can't do better. Dump truck debris hit my Willys. I need my hood repainted... how hard is it to match Bikini Pearl? How can you find the right shop that can match it....

Hi,

I ended up getting rid of it. It was literally 50 shades of teal. I had so many problems with that Jeep. Had it been my first, it would have been my last. I'll never have metallic paint again. My current Jeep is a Sting Grey Willys, and I love it.

Good luck!

Just got my 2021 back for the second time for corrosion warranty. First time they missed the pinch seam completely with seam sealer and there were runs in the paint. Brought it back to have redone. 4 new doors, a hood, new hinges a windshield frame and a 13mm socket that would have drove me crazy if it became loose.. Repaint both side's and blend. 18 day's in the shop(15 working days) with a loaner. Looks new so we'll see how it lasts.
