No, they are the same clear 3m film. I just put hinge and sill protectors on my 4 dr. The hinges are actually easier to get on ... and the die cut makes it worth the $ after you realize what a pain it would be otherwise. The sills are harder to get on good just bc of the angles, curves on the Jeep and size of the film piece but if you do hinges, then rear doors then front you will have the best chance of getting a good result by building your ‘experience’.

Man, I should not be installing my own. I’m way too much of a perfectionist and my skill with this is not even close to my expectations. It’s by no means “bad” - but I really want perfection and I just can’t get it.

2 hours so far, and only the rear doors are done. Busted out the heat gun to help, and using a mixture of water + Johnson & Johnson baby shampoo + alcohol in a fine misting spray bottle. Torture.

Again, it’s not because the product is poor - it’s becsuse my skills just aren’t where I want them to be.

No it does not come with a applicator tool, a cheaper alternative than the silicon type of applicator tool is a body putty spreader i.e. Bondo brand you can pick up a pack of 3 different sizes at auto parts stores pretty cheap I think 5-10 dollars.

My Top Golf member card worked on mine. However it took a lot of work to get my cut outs off the paper. The @R 3 cutter didn't go deep enough through the vinyl. Had to use an exacto knife to cut along all the edges and and peel off the excess so I could get them out. Added some time, but still worked out well.
