Patrick (l) & Gary (r) - (yes, of Sponge Bob fame). Gary scratched up his right eye as a young pup and we had to get it removed. Doc said it’s much “tougher” on the owner than the pup. Have to agree. Surely has not held him back at all!

Here's my nine year old Dire Wolf girl - and my best friend in the world ? ?

She started life as just a little ball of fur.

But she very quickly grew in to a beautiful wolf dog with a heart of gold.

And she really grew!

She's taller than most of our (human) family members ?

But just look at that doggy face...

we lost Kizzie the Wonder Pup (previously featured here) this Spring to a heart condition nobody knew she had until her last day.
we were heatbroken, and figured we might be able to consider beginning to think about maybe someday getting another dog in a year or so.

Missy literally walked out of the Desert and into our hearts a few months ago. the local shelter recognized her, but she went unclaimed until she finally came home with us (in spite of our previous plans of being dogless for a while).
while still shy of other dogs, she’s improved rapidly and is adjusting well to life in NorCal.

here she is taking it all in while camped in a friends apple orchard for late harvest recently.
