Apparently I don't read so good.

Before we got the current straps, we would use a caribiner to connect the harnesses to the buckled seat belts. If you figure out a way to get a horizontal strap, you could use a caribiner to let her have side to side movement.

In a somewhat similar vein, what are 4-door owners using to cover the cargo area w/ the rear seat down (sorry 2-door owners )? It's easier for my lab to get in through the rear gate versus a side door, so I'm looking for something that will cover the whole cargo area. I've found a few older posts, but most of what I'm finding are dead links.

Very high quality (as it should be for the price), it’s actually in the Jeep now from taking the dogs out yesterday. I want to say it was the compact car size, the tag just says small.

I ended up going with THIS. Works ok, better than I expected, and you can use it w/ the seat up or down. I figured for the cost, I'd at least try it. I'm happy with it.

On the topic of liners I have used Canvasback in my previous 2018 JLUR and now I bought it again for my 2022 JLURD and it makes cleaning up hairs much easier. They also make side pieces (I put them as well) and a front extension over the headrest once it’s folded down.

I also have the canvas back setup and will never not have one now.
Along with that I braided some 500 cord with strong hardware and run it between tie down points with a sliding line along it so the pup can turn around and such or get her water while on the road.
My company is going to manufacture a better solution out of nylon, triglides (for adjustability) and much stronger hardware, this part should be out in soon™.
