Anybody using a high quality kennel for a large dog with the rear seats up in a JLU?

I need to utilize 4 seats and take the dog. I lost my beloved chocolate Labrador a few months ago after 12.5 great years. She spent the majority of the time harnessed in the back of my truck in a camper shell. She spent very few days in the Jeep. I have a new lab puppy on the way. That being said, I’m big of securing cargo and don’t want this one to be loose for safety concerns.

I’ve looked at Impact crates. Most of our handlers at work use them and like them. I’ve been looking at Gunner crates lately and they look like an amazing product. I like the accessories such as the matting and fan kit available. The problem is the Gunner doesn’t seem to work with the rear seats up. It will fit sideways but I won’t have enough room to open the door.

The 34” Impact side door crate seems to be the best option so far.

I also like the Primo KennelUp crate but the dimensions give it the same problem as the Gunner.

Do any of you have any experience/recommendations?

I’m curious to see what you come up with. I’m in the same boat. Right now using an old 36” pet mate that takes up the entire rear cargo area.

I like the side door, but don’t need mil grade construction or pricing.

Well after all the crickets I heard, I ordered the impact 34” side door with their bed and a fan kit to keep her cool.
