Does the computer have to re-learn after a tune?

So I have an 18 JLUR auto w/ 4:10's. I installed a skyjacker 2.5 lift and 37's. I had to wait about 2 weeks for a flashcal. In the mean time my mileage dropped (I knew it would). I also barely see 7th and never see 8th gear. My question is coming, I promise. So the flashcal showed up last night and I changed the tire size to 36.5. I saw no change at all on my way to work. Here's the question: How long will it take to get those higher gears back? Does the computer have to "re-learn"? Or are they gone for good (without a re-gear)?

Thank you!

Does the Flashcal allow you to change shift points?

I'm not sure. I'm pretty new to this stuff. I thought the tire size would fix all that.

If I remember right, they are all separate, tire size, trans shift points, regear , so on and so forth

I didn't see any "shift points" on the website.

@dave-geri

Once you have programmed tire size with a programmer .... over time.... with the accumulation of miles on your JL, the shift points in regard to your automatic transmission, will be adjusted automatically by the JL.

Yup, 8th gear will no longer be seen and 7th gear you will see but......

By the way, do be sure to use a smart phone app to check your speedo accuracy at say 30, 50, 75. Adjust tire size accordingly until you speedo is accurate to within 1 mph, across the board.

Off topic but how much lift did you gain front and rear with the Skyjacker kit?
