Conflicting info out there. I have read that the Rubicon and Sahara already have the "big brake kit" and the sports do not. I have also read that only the Rubicon has it. Any way to tell for sure? Since Brembo doesn't make a kit yet......

Jeep site shows Sahara and Rubicons have HD brakes.
As stated, the Sahara comes standard with the larger brakes.
These.

In the past with the special editions they usually just take a platform and do the add ons. In this case it's a Sahara plus some goodies.

Is the general consensus that the bigger brakes on the Moab/Rubi are heavy duty enough for 37s? The jump from 33s to 37s is huge.

Just ask @cosine he knows!
Should be heavy duty enough, but the stock brake pads across the entire JL lineup are pretty lame. Typical low dusting, low noise, higher mileage type pads. I think the Powerstop Z36 pads are currently the best option for a more aggressive, better biting pad. If anyone knows of better performers I'd be very interested in that info as pad upgrades for these vehicles is very limited at the moment.
