Both Inception and Interstellar have left a reason at the end for a sequel, but I think Christopher Nolan will never make a sequel. It will be very difficult to make the sequel as good.
Inception needs a sequel to tell us whether Cob was awake when he met his children or he was yet again seeing their projections. And Interstellar sequel needs to rescue Brand(Anne Hathaway) from that other planet

Imagine if Murph was watching her dad live, it would take like a whole day for his dad to complete a blink šŸ˜† And this part is real science.
Science is wild. When a photon is traveling at the speed of light, not only time stops, but the length of its travel path also becomes zero. In other words, the size of the universe becomes zero for the photon. That's why these things make me kind of doubt whether the universe is real. Some kind of crazy illusion is going on
That's somewhat accurate (and mind-blowing), but the photon doesn't experience anything. Experience requires time, and time is undefined for the photon.

I started to look at the math behind it and yeah, it's WAY above my head.

The equations were in my 10th grade Physics but I did not understand them clearly back then. Einstein was a genius.

There is another weird thing about light, imagine you are in a car doing 100 mph and you fire a bullet, the bullet will also gain from car's speed, that's why fighter jets shoot missiles when they are high and fast. But the 100 mph car's headlights don't gain anything from the car's speed, they travel at the speed of light. And the 100 mph car's brake lights don't lose any velocity either.

And that is exactly how I run a 4 minute mile 😊

Just to show how crazy speed of light is, if a needle travelling at 99.99999999999999999999999999999999999999% speed of light hits the earth, it will completely vaporize the earth, and the shockwaves could also cause chaos in the entire Solar System.

I tried that by shooting my water gun off on my bike, failing to account for wind resistance, and got very wet.
Hey, resistance also affects light's speed, speed of light is not at it is maximum when it is traveling through water or some other dense medium. It is said that it takes millions of years for a photon that starts at the core of the Sun to get to the surface of the Sun, and then 8 minutes to Earth

I’d argue Nolan created the best sequel ever made. The Dark Night.
Heath Ledger is legitimately terrifying in that role. It far surpasses its genre in both writing, acting, directing, Hans Zimmer’s score and the overall general mastery of the craft.
Nolan rented every iMax camera in existence to film the truck trailer flipping scene and had to resort to an older camera format (vistavision) to pull it off.

Little to no CGI, just incredible camera and insane stunt work.

Sadly the 3rd in the series was a bit of a let down for me.
After Heath passed away, Nolan should have just stopped at 2.

Nolan is such an amazing director, and I'm so glad he makes boatloads of money from his movies. I did a quick google, he made $90 million from Interstellar, while Matthew McConaughey made $14.5 million. Most of the times, that's not the case, these big lead stars make much more money than the poor director.

Guys, real quick, I paid $4 to watch Interstellar on YouTube. Other than the producer, does anybody else from the movie gets some of that?

Man that is a long and complex answer.
If you are interested in the distribution of profits use the googles to read up.
It is insanely complicated as there are many levels, and how and when people get paid ā€œifā€ a movie makes money depends on too many factors for this thread.
What a lot of people don’t realize is that when you hear ā€œthis movie cost 200 Million to makeā€ that usually doesn't include what it cost to market the film.
Which can run into multiple 10s of millions just to market a release.
It really is an amazing amount of gambling to take on a AAA big budget project.
