So I watched it for the first time finally. It's a great movie no doubt, with amazing science fiction. But it is disgustingly sad, it makes you very sad. Too much emotions in it. I watch movies that make me happy, not sad. So if you decide to watch it, be prepared to get very sad if you are a dad of young children. Or it could make you love them a lot more.

Cornfield Chase music tune itself is very sad.

I really liked that show. Especially the time differential between the people that went to the planet vs the one that stayed in orbit.

Yes that part was amazing, but then when he got back, all his family was gone except his tiny daughter that now was over 90 and dying. His daughter would also have been gone if he came back late by one more day(couple of seconds in his time) ☹

There are some science fiction ideas in this movie but time dilation is not one of them. Time dilation is a confirmed fact. The GPS system works on the time dilation equations, and in fact time runs 67 seconds slower a year on the Sun compared to Earth. Make the Sun a million times bigger and time dilation will get crazy

They (primarily Dr Kip Thorne) did an amazing job of getting the non-fictional science as close to accurate as possible.

Great movie that makes your head spin. It really requires being watched more than once.

Imagine if Murph was watching her dad live, it would take like a whole day for his dad to complete a blink 😆 And this part is real science.
Science is wild. When a photon is traveling at the speed of light, not only time stops, but the length of its travel path also becomes zero. In other words, the size of the universe becomes zero for the photon. That's why these things make me kind of doubt whether the universe is real. Some kind of crazy illusion is going on

But seriously, the science is wild in that movie . One of my favorites.

In Inception it was the opposite, in the dreams they were spending a lot of time while in the real world seconds passed. The character Cob was so crazy he took his wife to that deepest dream level and they spent like 50 years there.
In Inception when the van is falling off the bridge, that's where Christopher Nolan shows the time difference, the van is falling slowly in the upper level of the dream
