I've been debating if I need extra bump stops or not. I have the Metal Cloak 1" additional Durobumps sitting in a box, but am being lazy not wanting to pull the front springs to install. Plus losing an inch of up travel for no reason is annoying.

Judging by these collapsed lengths, can I get away with the stock Rubicon bump stop setup? Bilstein only mentions adding additional bumpstops on their 3.5"+ shock that has over 17" (18s) collapsed length.

I noticed the Fox 2.0s are 16.20" for 0" lift. That is very close to these 5160s.

However, I've read that 16.25" is the limit. The Foxes are right under it, while the Bilsteins are slightly above.

TIA

safest way is to flex it out to make sure.

The correct answer. I was just being lazy. 🤣
too nice of a shock to risk it... nice thing is it is easy to pull the coil and then you can for see sure it it needs extra bump or not...

As a similarly lazy person...did you end up doing this so I don't have to?

I'm in a nearly identical place and looking to change to a shock with a front compressed length of 16.34.
I never did. But I've got plenty of shaft left based on the o-rings on my Bilsteins. TWSS?

I'm running Fox 2.0 reservoir shocks with 10.12" of travel, collapsed length 16.02". I tried the Metalcloak bumpstops and lost an inch of travel and they were so hard, it felt like a solid bump. I guess my Jeep isn't heavy enough to use them.
I switched to Teraflex bumpstops and like the extra cushioning compared to the stock bumpstops.
With the above combination, I have about a 1/2" of unused travel in the front and back and never feel hard hits the way it did when stock.
