A dealer told me that diesel orders would no longer be accepted after November 2022. I don't know how true that is or where his info came from, but just passing along what I was told.

Yes I believe this was decided back in October of 2022. Diesel came a little to late to the Wrangler platform. Shame too because it is without a doubt the best engine/transmission ever put in a jeep in my opinion. Glad I got mine before they killed it.

Yes no more ordering, might find a new one on a lot, they also built the Farout Rubicon to end the run. The Gladiator still has the engine for the moment.

So sad. I was waiting until January to place my order for a diesel Rubicon. Thought the availability was for the rest of the model year. Thanks Jeep. Lost my business until you do something better than those other 2 engines you provide. Just not impressed with the gassers you offer and would never go with the 4xE. Oh well, my fault for waiting. I'll still lurk around here and be jealous of those of you with a diesel! :)

There are still lots of low mileage used diesels out there on the used market. Maybe you might want to go that route. Or you can always pick up a new JT with the diesel.

Check new inventory on Jeeps website. There are quite a few new Rubicon diesels sitting on lots.

Diesels are no longer able to order. Only V6 manual, 2.0t, or V6 auto.

Most of what I've seen isn't optioned how I want. Dealer orders always seems like there is one thing they pick that's a deal breaker for me. I once settled on a vehicle that didn't have everything I wanted and I regretted it every day I drove it so I swore never again would I do that. I've talked to a few local dealers in AZ and they won't budge much off MSRP for what's on the lot and ordering would have gotten me 5-7% below invoice. Thinking I missed the boat unless something sits for a while and happens to be optioned with what I want.

The 392 isn't still available?

Forgot about that one. Overkill engine for a Jeep IMHO. And way overpriced. I’ve seen some at 6 figures. Most others are mid 80’s to 90’s. I paid less than that for my BMW X3M which is way more luxurious. Nothing against Jeep interior but it can’t compare. Of course $60k for a rubicon is pretty nuts too! Damn inflation has ruined everything!

It is was pretty easy to spec out a diesel for over $60k. The MSRP of mine was $65k a year ago, and mine lacked leather.

Priced diesel & 392, a diesel with all the same options as standard on the 392 plus tow and SOT for both, added the cost of a lift and beadlock capable wheels to the diesel price (not including labor) ~$5K difference before labor and still no water diverting scooped hood, reinforced frame, fox shocks, 4 Auto TC, or V8 Muscle Car performance. Delighted with the 392! ? Disclaimer— mpg sucks, cost not included……But SPG more than compensates ? Edit— a 470hp 5200lb JLU is far from overkill IMHO. (I know overkill, ~700HP CJ5)
