The wife and I love the sound of ours. I test drove a 4 cyl turbo and found it louder when you got on it when the turbo really kicked in. The hands free phone has no issue either. I really enjoy driving this rig.

I ripped the sound proofing out of my hood when I installed my Poison Sounder pho’s louvre. Sounds absolutely amazing now.

I reckon they are louder than a Prius...

I traded in my Prius for a 2013 JK 2-Door on a 3.5" AEV Lift with 35" Toyo Open Country RTs, and when I started my Prius up in the morning, it was so loud until the engine warmed up. In fact, cold starting my Prius was even louder than my 2020 JLU Willy's 2.0L.

I just got one for Christmas. So did u reinstall any of the sound proof or not?

I removed all the foam from around my engine, threw the engine cover away, installed the T&S Speed Shop intake pipe to get rid of the factory sound baffle, and took off the snorkle that connects the grille to the air box (Jeep versions may not have this). Now it sounds like a proper diesel.

I'll never understand people who buy a diesel and want it to be whisper silent.
