Hey guys, this is the 2nd time since owning my JL that it has not started after attempting to remote start. I get in, and just see the ETC light on the dash.
The first time this happened, I drove it to the dealership and they couldn't find anything wrong - cleared the check engine light and sent me home. 2nd time yesterday, I ran a scan (seen below), then it started right back up. I'm kind of at a loss, since the dealership was clueless the first time, and the damn thing acts like nothing is wrong after these codes go away. It's probably important to note that the Jeep was probably started 200 times in between the 1st and 2nd incidents.
It's running fine now without any codes, but I'm wondering why this keeps happening, and can't ask the dealership to do anything when they can duplicate the issue. The only common denominator I can pinpoint, is that both times were a remote start attempt. Maybe just the gremlins...................
I appreciate any input!
