3M tape came off my Chinese license plate holder. I know, your first thought, well it's Chinese 3M tape. But it's not, I don't trust the Chinese 3M tape, so I added my own actual 3M tape. Still came off the second it got cool outside in Texas. So I was tired of it bouncing around every bump I hit on the road. Decided to drill a hole in the tailgate and sit a screw flush so that the door will still close properly.

Power for the new license plate light has to come from somewhere, and I wanted it to look neatly tucked away because this is going to be my final setup!!

Louder then the OEM horn, this aftermarket horn is bulgy and doesn't fit neatly behind my grill. I'm going to be adding my own mesh back in to the grill, and needed to make sure that the horns are going to fit properly. Rather than buying some square tipped horns, I just chopped these guys up real good and then sanded them down.

Not all good things involve destruction, but the most fun ones tend to!! ?

Did you pick up any MPG's with these mods?
Probably not. Although I will say more holes means less weight. Maybe. :CWL:

However I'm at 30,000 mi, and I do my oil changes every 5,000, and my fuel filter changes every 10,000. So today I did both fuel filter and oil change and while I was at it I cleaned out my engine air filter.

I put some hot shots secrets FR3 in the oil. It was about 13.5 oz out of 16 oz bottle.

According to their advertising, supposedly it will allow you to get an extra 5% MPG. Not sure if I quite believe that, but it smelt citrusy and yummy. So who knows maybe my engines breath will smell better at minimum.??

* just a note on the friction reducer.... (I only say this because of the amount of followers @Tredsdert has) I'm sure many will want to rush right out and pour it in....
but seriously, they recommend a really good break-in on the motor before using FR3. I believe they told me atleast 10k miles...
just a friendly heads-up.... carry-on !

Interesting. Thanks for the heads up.

I was planning on using it through every oil change from here on out.

Am I internet (in)famous??!?

You should give them a call. I asked them about usage as well. If I remember

I don't believe they recommend that. I believe You leave it for the entire oil change life, then add their stiction eliminator and then use the FR3 two more times after that.
But my memory is crap and the phone call was quite a while back so I WOULD DEFINITELY SUGGEST CALLING THEM SO THAT I'M NOT PASSING BOGUS INFORMATION.

I use the EDT and LX4 at every fill-up, but it's a fuel additive, not an oil additive. Since I have a diesel, its cheap insurance to make sure the fuel system is well lubricated... I haven't read about a HPFP failure while using these products... hopefully that holds true.

When I inquired about using the FR3, I mentioned that (at the time) I had 6k miles and that's when they recommended I wait atleast until 10k... they also suggested using the stiction eliminator with it.(Unless I am getting the two confused, *so definitely call to verify).

Screen shot of the FR3 usage:

That treatment plan is confusing as hell!

I'll look up YouTube video, see if I can get someone to verbally explain it to me. Cuz reading that stuff is like blowing my mind. :CWL: :headbang:

I agree a 100%. That's why I called them but I remember emailing them also and got a quick response. So I would go straight to the source and just shoot them an email just my
.02 cents.

@SargeDiesel

Never mind, looks like the Amazon description did it for me.

So for me it'll be:

35,000 mi, Stiction Eliminator (4 oz per quart)
40,000 mi, FR3
45,000 mi, FR3
50,000 mi, Stiction Eliminator (2 oz per quart)
55,000 mi, FR3
60,000 mi, FR3
65,000 mi, Stiction Eliminator (2 oz per quart)
70,000 mi, FR3
75,000 mi, FR3
80,000 mi, Stiction Eliminator (2 oz per quart)

.... And on and on and on until my engine dies, and I replace it with a Cummins 5.9L.
