Heap some poison there under the hood and park it outside for a while.

Please do not use poison.. when the rat leaves your Jeep and is then eaten by another animal, owl, coyote, snake, etc. you will also cause those animals to die a slow painful death. Use something that will kill quickly such as a snap trap with peanut butter or a zapper. Glue traps are a slow horrible death as well as the rat will chew its foot off. Please use something humane and quick that will not have an impact on the wildlife in your area.

I bought an ultrasonic device for my JK years ago and it worked great. Just placed it in under the hood.

What kind is it ? Any information would be great. As long as it worked well.
