Defroster burned up.

Need help. Defroster stopped working. Then about a week later the wire burned up. Brought it to jeep and they just used defroster glue and wire heat shrink to repair it. 3 days later it burned up and fell off. Put in complaint with mopar. They are sending an investigator. You can see I dated the pics and when I got it back from jeep 12/20. Some of the defroster was scrapped off. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I'd say Warranty? New back window with new defroster please...they already mickey moused it! anything less is unacceptable!

Good Luck.
It's a known issue. My dealer has reattached the wire (didn't work) and replaced the glass (worked for about 2 days), I have an appointment this week for them to look at it again. Last I knew it takes a bit for the glass to come in so hope you're not in a rush.

I called chrysler and they are sending someone to see what's the issue. But burned up 2x. They already are replacing the window at next apt. After the rep comes. But this is ridiculous

This happened to me on my jk. They replaced my glass and didnā€™t have an issue afterwards.
Good luck getting it fixed. I ended up with a soft top on my JL so wont be an issue this time.

Any luck?
Mines working now which makes me happy since winter is in full effect in Maine.
Not sure if the tech broke a wire when replacing the rear glass or if it came damaged. But they were able to trace it and replace the wire.

I have an appointment for January 8. I'm also meeting up with an FCA inspector at the apt cause I don't understand why jeep won't fix it the right way. The truck came out more damaged then it went in. Another thing is I'm testing the voltage through the defroster grid and getting wired readings. First it said 12v. Now it reads 26 volts.
