They do this on all of them, here is your chance to download and save your window sticker as a .pdf file.

Also when your Jeep arrives, ask your salesman to request a 2nd copy of your window sticker, I have two for my SRT, the one they tried to remvoe got buggered up by the truck guy and they got me new one.

I believe they do this to drive calls and visits. When we were looking for colors we would find a color on a site that was in transit and ask about it and be told it was sold.

Start marketing on their part as far as I am concerned.

Mine is also listed on the dealer’s website as “in transit”.... I know it’s an automated process and we did put down a deposit but I’m still nervous as hell!

Yep...it’s automatic. Another strange thing was I could build my exact Jeep and never have my Jeep come up as a perfect match on Jeeps site. It would always be a 20/21 or something, even though the top match was my vin. I don’t think a sold Jeep will ever show as an exact match for anyone.

Weird... mine was in transit almost three weeks. No telling how many times I played with that thing in that time. It NEVER did. Oh well, it’s been here three months with zero issues :like:

So I ordered up a custom Rubi, I have been watching and waiting.
So today I'm browsing and there's my order listed on the dealers web site as for sale, with a tag of in transit.(Vin verified)
It even has the request a Quote button.
Kinda ticks me off.
In all fairness no money has changed hands yet.
Maybe no reason too be upset but it just bugs me
This is normal. My Jeep was displayed the same way...when I contacted my dealer he said once a VIN is created they must post the Jeep online. However, on the dealer's site, my Jeep was "hidden" from the normal browsing platform. The only way I found it was that I Googled my VIN and it appeared. This was the only way to detect it, as searching on the dealer's site did not reveal it.

I would contact your dealer and let them know that you see it online...they will probably tell you that they have to post it. In that case, you can ask them to remove it from the "normal" way of browsing for vehicles on their site. :like:

Thank you , nope no deposit, they didn’t ask but they did send me the vin just a few days after
Ooo no deposit? Hmm...I'd go up there and put something on it...tbh i got a bit nervous even after my $100 deposit and went and bought it a few days before it got on the lot (as soon as I knew it had been delivered to my city via rail).

I knew they wouldn't sell my Jeep after I actually paid and signed for it. I mean this is not necessary but it gave me peace of mind...as when I got the call that it was on the lot, I just went up there carefree and took it home.

That's different from my process.
I had to put $2,000 down before they would even place my custom order and I didn't receive my vin until the build was completed... It's weird to me that you had a vin within just a few days

Like most everyone has said. Having it listed is automated by FCA. If you have a good relationship with your sales person, I would ask them to make sure to keep it locked up and not available for viewing or test drives. If you didn't put a deposit down, you may want to contact your sales person and make sure it's for you. Per the VIN, why a dealership won't give it until it's nearly built is very odd. The VIN is nearly immediately available once the order is placed (at least for the vast majority of folks here).

No worries at all. I found a jeep I wanted to buy on the web and when I called the salesman told me it was a special order but it automatically goes into their inventory. I picked up mine three weeks ago but it was also on their website as soon as it was in transit. Not to worry whether you put a deposit down or not, I gave my salesman my credit card for $1000 and they never even took the deposit out.
