Have you tried a google search using that serial number? Is there a name on that device? You may want to get a third party tech to look at it, in case it was a dealer “add on” I worked at a dealership, unless it was required to secure financing, which I assume in your case it was not, and they still would have you sign off during the paperwork. Then figure out what the device actually is, and proceed with caution.
