Dash panel splitting?

Anyone have issues with dash panel on passenger side splitting?

that is a natural seperation built in for your air bag deployment....probably shouldn't be seperating though! Have dealer order you a new one and replace.

Interesting. That's where the airbag pops out, so there are relief cuts in the plastic where the force of the bag would split the plastic. You shouldn't be able to see them though. Has anything hit it hard from the inside? Does you wife or girlfriend like to put her feet up on the grab bar?

Timing of this post couldn't come at a better time (for me anyways) Posted earlier that this is also happening to my 22 JLUR and had no clue what it was. I saw this post 10 minutes before heading to the dealer to pick up my rig after having in for service for the water pump bolt issue.

I pointed out the dash to my service advisor and he ran it back for a tech to to look at. Came back 10 minutes later and said he would order a new dash panel and let me know when it arrives and to come in for install.

Not that I know of. I noticed it after getting in my Jeep after getting my 37s mounted, but no way that happened due to that. Taking it to dealer tomorrow to show them. Knowing that is the airbag split makes me confident this should be a defect covered by warranty. Thanks!

So took her to the dealer and they immediately agreed to replace under warranty. Still waiting for part.

@st01tz, or anyone else with one... any chance you'd be willing to let the cracked dash panel go when your replacements arrive? I be willing to make use of it
