Most states' lemon laws would get you a whole new vehicle for that delay.

For example, Colorado's states:

It also applies when the vehicle is out of service for repairs for a cumulative total of thirty (30) or more business days during the warranty term or one year after original delivery, whichever comes first.
You appear to be in Michigan, and their law also states:

The vehicle is out of service because of repairs for a total of 30 or more days or parts of days during the term of the manufacturer's express warranty or within one year from the date of delivery to the original consumer, whichever comes first. This option does not require the same problem to be the cause of the days out of service.

Thanks, this is very helpful! Interestingly enough, a dash cluster arrived the day after the dealer told me April 5th. That being said, they had it from Dec 19th until January 11th, so they are dangerously close to the lemon law issues based on the information you posted. Thanks again!

The new dash cluster seems to be working with no issues. Michigan is expected to get pretty cold over the next week or so, so fingers crossed that fixed it. I will post again if it doesn't.

We have a similar poltergeist with our 2019 Sport S. the first week we had it all of a sudden the radio changed, then the AC came on full blast then it started dialing a contact on my phone and then switched to the backup camera. I took it to the dealer and after an hour they said they could not find any problems and if it happens again I should video it. Well it happened again toady only a few days since the last episode but it was impossible to video and drive. I am going back to the dealer again and I am sure I will get the same response. After reading this thread and similar ones on other forums, how do we get the dealer see this is not an isolated issue without having to use the lemon law. Two week old jeep and second time to the dealer.

Your problem sounds different. This thread is about the insturment cluster right in front of the steering wheel. I know there's another thread on here with the same issue you'rer having with the Uconnect.

I will tell you that most every dealer will look at your video and say "interesting" followed by "if we don't experience it there's nothing we can do."

Perhaps there are some dealers out there that don't behave that way, but I've not seen one.

I’ve been having the same issue with the dash cluster. The Jeep has about 3,500 miles on it, I’ve had it for just under a month. It doesn’t seem to be limited to cold weather, as it has also happened after being parked in a heated garage overnight.
Seems to be an issue after the Jeep is off and parked for 8 hrs or so...
Took it to the dealer on 1/17, they are working with FCA diagnostics to find a solution. They said if no solution, they will install a new cluster. I will keep you updated!

Please keep us posted. Did the dealer see it happen? Mine goes in on the 23rd for the same issue.

Thanks.

No the dealer didn’t see it happen. But I did take a video to show them, and that seemed to help my case a lot.
As of today they are just going to replace the dash cluster. They said it should be ready for pick up tomorrow, so I’ll make sure to document if everything is working as it should be

Picked up my brand new 2019 Mojito! Rubicon on Monday, November 26. It was my dream car which I ordered on Oct. 6th. On Wednesday, November 28th the dash cluster started continuously rebooting, RPM and speedometer gauges stopped working. So disappointed and sad. Because it is a 2019, the dealership is not sure when they will be able to get the part or when I will get my Jeep back. :crying:

@JeepCares
This happened to me too I bought a brand new 2019 Rubicon last week. I called to have it serviced and they can’t fit me in until the end of the week.

@dj3513 Did yours get repaired? I’m still waiting on the cluster to arrive. I opened a case with FCA customer care just to have everything documented.

Just FYI, mine was a custom order 2019 Jeep JLU Sport S. Had to wait 8 weeks for delivery, so I’m bummed it’s at the dealer now. Hoping to be driving this weekend because I really miss driving it!

It's at the dealer as we speak. ( I even showed them the video I took). More to come. Good call with the FCA.

Did they give you a time frame for how long the part will take to get in? I was just updated that the part will now not arrive until 2/6/19... originally dropped it off 1/17...

They said this Monday or Tuesday. However I think this will be longer.

I too am having this issue. We ordered our wrangler Sport S in November and picked it up on 1/5/2019. Two days after we had it the gauges wouldn’t work after a “cold” start and various warnings would come on and off. We took it in to the dealer on1/17. On 1/22 the service manager informed us they would need to replace the dash cluster. On 1/25 he told us he hasn’t been able to find the part yet. So we’re still waiting to hopefully enjoy our new Jeep.
